Sofiyska Voda and Veolia Water organised a Water Park in the centre of the Bulgarian capital, September 17th

On the occasion of the Day of Sofia, Sofiyska Voda set up a unique Water park in Sofia city centre near Ariana Lake – a landmark located in the largest park of the city – Borisova Gradina. More than 2500 visitors of the Water park took a virtual walk along the way of water from the mountain to Sofians’ homes with the help of a unique art installation (3/4 m), containing water supply pipes and other components used in the company’s activity. Sofiyska Voda presented for the first time to the general public its modern Geographic Information System (GIS) and spoke about the green technological solutions of Sofiyska Voda and its parent company, Veolia Water. Visitors were really impressed to learn more about the water supply and sewerage system of Sofia. They had the chance to see 50-year and even older pipes and other elements of the network in the improvised museum of Sofiyska Voda.  

Scientists from the National Museum of Natural History acquiainted visitors with the mystical properties of water and the global issue of its preservation. The quality of potable water supplied by Sofiyska Voda was tested on-site. Children enjoyed games with water and entertainment with Drop and Droplet, the characters of the company’s educational booklet for children.

Sofiyska Voda is part of the big European family of Veolia Water since November 2010.
