100,000 Sofia customers abandon the paper invoices for water

In 2018 the number of the customers who do not wish to receive paper invoices from Sofiyska Voda increased by 25%. In January 2019 the company “celebrated” its 100,000th customer, who decided to support the green idea and abandon the paper copy of the water bill.

The data from the surveys show that for the production of 1 sheet of paper with A4 size more than 11 liters of water are needed. It means that only for one month around 1,100,000 liters of water are saved and on an annual basis the contribution is up to 13,200 tons.

The service receipt of e-invoices has been offered by Sofiyska Voda since the 1st of November 2011. Every year the number of the customers, who request it, increases and thus they contribute to the protection of the nature in Bulgaria.
The company reports increasing interest of the customers in the offered online services. Over the past year, the website of Sofiyska Voda was visited more than 2,000,000 times.

The company provides to its customers also a wide portfolio of remote services such as the option to submit self-readings of water meters, subscription for receipt of notifications by e-mail for planned water supply interruptions, free SMSs informing about planned and emergency repairs along the network, as well as a number of ways for cashless payment.

We remind you that over the past years Sofiyska Voda has modernized its customer service center. It is another stage from the better customer service with the motto “Services Going Swimmingly”. The company is the first WSS operator with a 24-hour free phone line – 0800 1 21 21 and the only company with a mobile customer service center.
