Commenced the laying of new water mains in Mladost R.Q.
There will be a planned water supply interruption to switch over to the new pipes
In April, the reconstruction of the water connection in Mladost r.q. has entered a next phase. The laying of the new pipes to the water meter node located on Ring Road Street has started. The complex, inaccessible and aged water connection that supplies Mladost, Gorublyane, Poligona, Darvenitsa and Musagenitsa residential quarters with water is being gradually replaced and renewed with new facilities.
So far Sofiyska Voda has managed to install 3 stop valves, as well as to prepare a route where nearly 400 m of new water mains will be laid that will be connected in a more accessible and secure way. The new trunk mains are made from cast-iron and will replace the depreciated steel pipes constructed more than 30 years ago that cause failures in the region.
The next step in the reconstruction envisages the connection of the new water mains in the scheme and the disconnection of the old pipes. For this purpose, water supply interruption in April will be necessary for which timely information will be provided to the inhabitants of the affected residential quarters.
The investment project will cost BGN 1.1 million, which Sofiyska Voda will invest in the reconstruction of the water node in Okolovratsten pat Str. The purpose is to ensure continuity of the service, water supply improvement in the region without changing the water connections, and implementation of quality and new structures.
