Water invoices in Sofia go fully digital
More than half of the customers of Sofiyska Voda already receive their invoices by e-mail, which becomes mandatory for all customers following the changed General Terms and Conditions of the company
The water bill in Sofia gains popularity. After the General Terms and Conditions of Sofia’s WSS operator were amended, customers who still have not transitioned to an
e-invoice, must declare an up-to-date e-mail address by October 19 or submit an application to continue receiving paper invoices.
Nearly 50% of the customers of Sofiyska Voda have already opted for a digital invoice. It allows receiving the invoice on the specified e-mail address at the moment
it is issued and ensures quick access and full reliability of the delivery. Another benefit of the E-Invoice is that it grants full access to an archive of the invoices
issued over the past 3 years.
Customers can state their choice online, they can complete an application from the company’s website https://www.sofiyskavoda.bg/dokumenti or obtain it at the Customer Service Centers. It is important that the form is completed and signed by the account holder or his/her authorized representative. Customers, who have
already subscribed to receive e-invoices, do not need to file an application.
After filling out and signing the application, it must be submitted to the company in one of the following ways:
- Online via the form for online communication on the website
https://www.sofiyskavoda.bg/qa (attaching a photo or a scanned copy)
- Physically at the Customer Service Centers
- By post at the following address: 159, Tsar Boris III Blvd.
- Physically at the offices of EasyPay and FastPay
The easiest way to provide a valid e-mail address to receive e-invoices is directly through the customer profile on the website of Sofiyska Voda or in My Water application, in the Request for an E-Invoice section, where it is not necessary to fill out an application in advance. A customer profile could be created at any time in a
few easy steps.
The customer will start receiving e-invoices in the month after submitting the information for an up-to-date e-mail address on the supplied e-mail.
In case within the 6-month transition period ending 19 October 2026, the customer fails to submit the necessary information for receiving e-invoices or does not state
their wish for a paper invoice, the sending of invoices will be suspended.
The issued invoices will be stored in a digital archive on the company’s website for 36 months. Within that period, they may be accessed through the customer’s profile on the website of Sofiyska Voda or in My Water app.
Detailed information on the changes to the General Terms and Conditions of Sofiyska Voda can be found on the company’s website.
